Biomes, Biotic and Abiotic Factors

A living things must:

•  be made up of one or more cells.

•  need and use energy to carry out life activities.

•  use food (consume).

• let off waste.

•  be adapted (suited) to their environment (surroundings).

•  respond to changes in their environment.

•  reproduce organisms of their species

•  grow and develop.

• temperature, climate, humidity

• water

• air, gas

• soil, rocks, pebbles, sand

• salt, sugar, other nutrients

A plant’s environment includes several different factors. Weather is one of those factors. Weather includes the amount of sunlight, the range of temperature, and the amount of yearly precipitation. Soil is another factor. The other plants and animals sharing the environment are still another factor.
