Instructions:
We will be reviewing 4 questions from the test that were answered wrong the most often. They are what you least understand.
READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY.
ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS FULLY!
I expect you to FULLY participate in this activity.

This question WAS difficult to answer, but I helped all students (who listened) by taking away 50% of the wrong choices. When talking about recessive and dominant genes, it always helps to think about a single individual with those genes. With that in mind, knowing options A and D are bogus, we can chose B. Why? It talks about specific wasps having babies.

This is one of those "NOT" questions we always struggle with! Maybe we should start reading more carefully, so we don't always lose 11-20% of our grades on grammar..? Options B, C, and D are all "correct" or "true" -- that means they're NOT the answer! A is "false" therefore it IS the answer, because chromosomes don't make DNA, DNA makes chromosomes.

How is it possible indeed! If brown hair (a phenotype) is dominant then it will show up whether it is homozygous dominant (BB) or heterozygous (Aa). Dominant traits are always expressed. There is 0% chance of child being blonde if both parents, or only just one parent, is homozygous dominant. They'll always inherit a dominant allele. SO, the answer MUST be B.

There, that wasn't so bad, was it?
Hopefully, you've learned how to improve your test-taking for the future. We have at least one more Unit Exam before the year's over.
Good luck!
