If you are doing an action, that action word is a verb

If you are just being something, that word of being is a verb

If you know the subject noun (or pronoun), ask yourself, what is the subject doing? Maybe it's an action, maybe it's being, but that's the verb

What kind of? It's a green shirt, a large shirt

How many? There are three trees, many trees

Which one? It's that tree

How does the verb happen? quickly, softly, gently, suddenly

When does the verb happen? often, always, now

Where does the verb happen? there, everywhere
