The Oregon Trail was a 2,000-mile trail that started in the Midwest Region, in Kansas, and stopped in Oregon, which is in the West Region. People were traveling this trail for a better life. They wanted to get more land for their homes, even though this land was already owned by the Native Americans. Pioneers thought it was their right to claim it. Can you imagine traveling 2,000 miles in a wooden wagon?
