Speeches Part 2

A persuasive speech is written to convince listeners to do,

think, or believe something.

In a persuasive speech, the speaker tries to persuade the

listeners to agree with his/her viewpoint.

Inspirational and/or motivational speeches try

to convince the audience that they can

succeed at or improve something.

"You can do it! Don't give up!"

Informative speeches provide interesting or

useful information that increases the

audience’s knowledge of a subject.

"I'm writing to tell you..."
