 Use possessive adjectives before a noun:

It's my book.

 The adjective agrees with the person, not the object:

It's her book. / It's his book.

 There is no plural form:

 They’re my books. NOT They’re mys books.

 Use this and these to talk about things that are near (= here).

 Use that and those to talk about this that are far (= there)

Use this and that with singular nouns.

Use these and those with plural nouns.

 Most nouns add -s in the plural: teacher – teachers

With words that end in -ch, -sh, -x and -o we add -es: sandwich – sandwiches

With words that end in consonant + -y we change the -y to ­-i and add -es: diary – diaries
