Capital Letters
A capital letter goes at the start of every sentence. ( This might seem obvious but not everyone does this!)
They also go on proper nouns ( a name , country , place)

Full stops indicate when you have finished the sentence.
If you do not use them , your writing will ramble on and not make sense as it will flow all into one.

Commas help separate a sentence , breaking it up to allow a pause and to divide the sentence into smaller pieces to read better.
They are used for listing , separate clauses and to introduce direct speech.

An apostrophe has 2 purposes : show belonging and to show contractions/omission -the car belonged to Jack : Jack's car - you add on 's
