• Sprains are as a result of a joint being twisted out of shape

• They are sometimes very painful but will not cause a life long damage

• The are might even get swollen

• Crushed ice in a towel can be used as well as a bag of frozen peas

• Use an elastic bandage until the joint is repaired by the body

Electric Shock

Electricity is a form of energy and if you touch the live wire accidentally then this energy will flow through you.

Electric shocks can cause

• burns

• unconsciousness

• even death

DO NOT TOUCH THE VICTIM

• before touching you have to ensure that they are no longer in contact with the electrical source!

• Use a broom handle or another insulated material to push the victim away

• If you can, turn off the electrical source but

• DO NOT TOUCH THE VICTIM WHILE THEY ARE BEING SHOCKED.

IF THE VICTIM IS NOT BREATHING THEN,

You must give them mouth to mouth resuscitation.

Keep them warm with a blanket and give them some hot tea.

Call the hospital so they can assess they person.

TO RESTORE BREATHING AND HEARTBEAT- moth-to-mouth resuscitation

This must be carried out within 3 minutes of the person stop breathing.

This is not only caused by electric shocked. It can be used for drowning, chocking or a heart attack.
