Countable/Uncounctable Nouns & Quantifiers

Before we begin our lesson, I am going to show you a few pictures

There are pictures of apples, cars on the road, milk, salt and pupils in class.

Some apples and a lot of apples are correct.

A few and less cars are correct.

A glass of milk and some milk are correct.

A little salt and some salt are correct.

Many pupils and some pupils are correct.

The words or phrases before the noun; some, a little, a few, a great deal of, many. We call these words as quantifiers.

How to know which quantifiers to use on which nouns?

We decide the quantifiers based on the noun, whether it is countable or uncountable noun.

So, there a quantifiers that can only be used for uncountable nouns, countable nouns and both.
