Rephrase information in our own words as far as possible without changing the initial meaning of the text.

Success Criteria

Use my own words to deliver information without changing the intended meaning, using at least 2 methods of paraphrasing.

Steps to paraphrasing:

1. Read text to understand the context.

2.Identify the main idea(s)

Use any one of the following paraphrasing techniques:

Rephrasing: Substitution / Grouping
Shortening of phrases / sentences
Changing sentence structure

1. Rephrasing

Substitution --> Focus on substituting verbs, adjectives and common nouns.
Grouping --> Grouping a list of things into a single category.

He does not pay attention to his eating habits and is unwilling to change to food alternatives like whole grains, nuts, fruits and vegetables.
