1) What are your first impressions of the music that you hear?

Describe the mood and setting of each song. What images or

thoughts are you reminded of?

2) What do you think the text of the song is describing (what is it

about)?

3) Analyze the choir’s performance. Are their words easy to

understand? Are the pitches solid and in tune? Does the

ensemble sound unified or do some voices stand out from the

rest?

4) What are some things that the ensemble does well? Try to use

your musical knowledge/terms to describe this.

5) What are some things that you believe the ensemble should

improve? (Performance practice, tone, etc.)

6) Describe the instrumentation and voicing of the music. Is it a

capella or accompanied? Is it accompanied by a piano, orchestra

or other instruments? Please explain.
