is a map or topography of the organisation and the market in which it operates, composed of sets of assumptions or hypotheses

can be used to:

1. describe different kinds and types of businesses

1. describe how firms operate

3. describe how you want your organisation to function

The business model summary should contain the following information:

· logo and business name

· tag line

· the customer problem or need

· the proposed solution (product, service or process)

· customer segment

· competitor analysis

· marketing and distribution strategy

· cost structure and revenue model
