A system is a set of interacting parts forming a larger, more complex group. A system can also be a set of rules that gives structure to a behavior, such as a school system. the school system includes all the buildings, furniture, supplies staff, and students. It also includes the curriculum and the code of conduct.

Un sistema es un conjunto de piezas que interactúan formando un grupo más grande y complejo. Un sistema también puede ser un conjunto de reglas que da estructura a un comportamiento, como un sistema escolar. el sistema escolar incluye todos los edificios, muebles, personal de suministros y estudiantes. When we change the frame of reference and looked at Earth from various points of view, we could consider various levels of systems. At the largest frame of reference we could see the entire earth system. At the smallest, we could see our school as a system.

• Biosphere: The system of interacting living organisms on Earth. Biosfera: El sistema de interacción de organismos vivos en la Tierra.
