Is she older or younger?

Since you could have less than 30 students on the bus, you would want the less than symbol.  But you could also have 30 students, so you would use the line under the less than sign, making it less than or equal to 30 students.

This would also use the less than or equal to symbol because the elevator can lift 2,200 pounds or anything less than that.

Amy IS NOT 8, but I don't know Amy, so I don't know if she is older or younger.  All I know is that she isn't 8.
