To Solve inequalities on a number line:
*Greater than/Less than- maked with an open circle
*Greater than or equal to/Less than or equal to- marked with a closed circle

Inequality: x < -2
1. Find -2 on your number line a
2. Look at your symbol and mark -2 with an open or closed circle : Remember closed circle is for greater than/less than or equal to (Line under symbol). Open symbol is for just greater than or equal to (< >)
3. Mark with a line the area that represents "x". Because x is less than -2, we want to mark all the numbers that are less than -2.
