Superlatives

= for short adjectives we use different rules than for longer ones

we use the most + adjective:

for example: beautiful - the most beautiful

-ed, -ing, -less, ful, ous - we use the most

example: the most annoying, the most clueless, the most famous

the rest can use the suffix - est

example: The craziest, the happiest, the ugliest

most "-y "ending adjectives will take "i" - ex. the happiest

-e ending adjectives won't take another -e ex.: the nicest

vowel-consonant ending will double the consonant: ex: the biggest

there are irregular adjectives: the best (good), the worst (bad), the least (little), the most (more), the farthest (far)
