FOR FINISHED ACTIONS IN THE PAST ( THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF VERBS - REGULAR AND IRREGULAR)

REGRA (spelling rules regras de ortografia- VERBOS REGULARES
Os verbos regulares, regra geral, formam o passado acrescentando -ed, por exemplo "walk- walked".

MAIS REGRAS
Se o verbo termina em -e, acrescenta-se apenas o -d ( dance - danced).
Se o verbo termina em -y temos duas situações: se antes do -y tivermos uma vogal, o -y mantém-se e acrescenta-se -ed (enjoy- enjoyed); se antes do -y tivermos uma consoante, então o -y passa a -i e acrescenta-se -ed (study- studied).
Se o verbo termina em CVC (consoante, vogal, consoante), dobra a última consoante ( plan - planned).
Verbos terminados em -l, dobra o -l ( travel- travelled).

FRASES NA NEGATIVA
Para formares uma frase na negativa( quer para os verbos regulares, quer para os irregulares) terás de usar o auxiliar did+ not (didn't) antes do infinitivo ( I didn't travel to England).

FRASES NA INTERROGATIVA
Também nestas frases vais usar o auxiliar "did" + verbo no infinitivo. A estrutura da pergunta será: WH + DID+ SUBJECT+VERB (infinitive), por exemplo "When did you visit London?"
As perguntas cuja resposta será Yes/NO têm a seguinte estrutura: DID+SUBJECT+VERB (INFINITIVE), por exemplo "Did you visit London last Summer?" As respostas possíveis serão : "Yes, I did; No, I didn't."
