Your uncle is trying to grow tomatoes and lettuce. He puts all the seeds in the same pot, puts the pot under the brightest lamp in the house, and waters them 3 times a day.

He is surprised to see that the tomato seeds sprout super fast, but the lettuce seeds don't sprout at all.
