Present Continuous Tense

when we talk about something which is hapenning at the time of speaking:

when we talk about something which is hapenning around the time of speaking, but not necessarily exactly at the time of speaking

when we talk about a period around the present ( today, this season etc.)

when we talk about changing situations

when we say what someone has arranged to do ( to meet someone, to travel somewhere etc.)

Tom and Ann are talking and drinking in a cafe.

Tom isn't playing football this season. He wants to concentrate on his studies

Alex is getting married next month.
