Le superlatif

It is the way to say that someone or something is the best or worst of a certain quality

In English, many superlatives end with -est

tallest

shortest

fastest

loudest

In French we don't change the adjective that we are using to describe

Instead we add 'the most' or 'the least' to it

Put 'the' and 'most/least' together before and adjective to form the superlatif!

Le plus ... la plus ... les plus ...

Le moins ... la moins ... les moins ...

NOTE: le/la/les and the adjective MUST agree with who/what you are describing

The superlative of bon is le/la/les meilleur(e)(s)

Use this to say the best

The superlative of mauvais is le/la/les pire(s)

Use this to say the worst

noun + is/are + the + noun category + the + most/least + adjective

Le Louvre est le musée le plus célèbre

Mme Chuck est la prof la plus jolie

the + noun category + the + most/least + adjective + is/are + noun

Le chat le plus fou est Alice

Le bébé le plus mignon est Coraline

Remember that BANGS go BEFORE the noun

Superlatives that use these adjectives will have a different formation:
