Topic Sentences

Topic Sentences:

The sentence that comes at the beginning of a paragraph that introduces the topic of the paragraph. Your topic sentence needs to match the detail sentences.

Strong topic sentence: Logging was hard work and required many steps.

Poor topic sentence: Here's the things you need to know about logging.
