Variant

• A description of a relationship with a changing rate.

NonProportional Relationship

• A relationship among 2 quantities in which there is NOT a constant unit rate because the graph does NOT travels through the origin, meaning the rate changes from 0 to 1.

• Example: Buying a cell phone for $100 plus $25 every month is an example of a Non-Proportional relationship because it is a relationship that starts at a value other that (0,0).
