Animals and plants that live in a pond habitat are suited to live around or underwater. Ex. Fish have gills that allow them to live underwater.

Herbivores are animals that eat only plants. Water fleas, which are very common in ponds, eat very tiny plants called algae.

Animals that eat other animals are called carnivores. For example, stickleback fish eat water fleas.

Animals that eat other animals are predators and what predators eat are preys.

A stickleback is a predator of water fleas and water fleas are its prey.
