Unit 5: Handle Employee Training2 (REASONS FOR TRAINING )

When the skills possessed by the employee do not match the requirements to perform their job well, there will be shortfalls in performance. 

Training is essential to bridge the gap so that the employee’s performance will be improved.

Newer staff to undergo training in order to understand their roles better, handle the given task more efficiently, reduce the anxiety level, have the right attitude for the given job and lastly to reduce learning time.

Important for a company to keep pace with the competitive environment that it operates in.

When there is an organisation change, training is necessary so as to reduce employees’ resistance to change. 

Need for the company to keep up with the fast changing pace. 

Training is needed when there are technological changes so that employees' skills level can be raised to face the new challenges.

Training may be needed to fulfil an individual’s need for self-enrichment and personal growth. 

A trained employee would feel motivated to perform well in his job.
