​Idea: An opinion or thought presented on a topic or issue. Not necessarily argumentative.

​Claim: To win an argument, you first have to make a claim that is more than just an feeling or thought about a topic. You use critical thinking skills and argue your case using claims, reason, and evidence.

​Structure

​Structure is the writer's strategy to organize the information presented in the text. Below are examples of text structure:
