Water became ice that turned to glaciers

Forming of glaciers caused sea levels to drop.

Low sea levels created "land bridge".

No one in the Americas until the natives crossed the land bridge from Asia to North America.

During this era, they adapted to the plants and animals of the time.

They found food by following animals, hunter-gatherers.

They followed grazing animals like mammoths and bison.

Their rock shelters were near fresh water.

A.D. 600-700 they started to use technology like the bow and arrow.

Pottery could be used to cook and store food.

Agriculture (growing crops) was established in 1200 A.D. and allowed the hunter-gatherers to stay in one place.
