QUÉ ES UN LOGARITMO

Definición

Si b>0 y distinto de 1,el logaritmo en base b de un número positivo a es el exponente al que hay que elevar la base b para obtener a. Se representa por logba.

Cuando no hay base en el logaritmo la base es 10

logN=x <==> 10^x=N

logaritmo neperiano es el logaritmo que tiene como base el número e

ln N= x <==> e^x=N

PROPIEDADES DE LOS LOGARIMOS

1.El logaritmo de la base es siempre igual a 1: log_aa=1
2.El logaritmo en cualquier base de 1 es igual a 0: log_a1 = 0
3. El logaritmo del producto es igual a la suma de los logaritmos: loga(N⋅M)=logaN+logaM
4. El logaritmo del cociente es igual a la diferencia de los logaritmos.
logaMN=logaM−logaN
5. El logaritmo de una potencia es igual al producto del exponente por el logaritmo de la base:
logaM^r=r⋅logaM
