The spread of ideas, people, and objects across space and time.
Space is the distance between places/objects.
Time is the measure of crossing that space.
Generally, the farther away something is, the longer it takes for something else to get there. This is called time-space dilation.
Also, generally the farther a message/idea has to go, the less the entire message/idea arrives. (Distance Decay)

8
Movement of ideas
Ideas spread through a process called diffusion.
There are several types of diffusion: Contagious, stimulus, hierarchical, and expansion.
9
Diffusion
Contagious diffusion spreads exponentially among groups.
Stimulus diffusion spreads because the idea itself is good, even though the initial method is not.
Hierarchical diffusion spreads from the top of a group down to the rest.
Expansion diffusion occurs as people move and carry their own traits with them into a new area.
