What is a Claim?
Your claim is like your answer.
It is what you are claiming to be the correct answer.
You are going to then prove your claim using Evidence and Reasoning.
Ex: What is the climax of the story?
The climax is when Mr. Bueller could embarrass Victor but chooses not to.

The reader is on pins and needles, wondering what will happen. It is also the climax because it is the turning point. Everything changes after this point of the story. Victor can now offer to tutor Teresa in French.
