Reflecting Over the X-AXIS

• Keep X coordinate the same, CHANGE the Sign of Y

• Example 1: (4, 5) reflects over X-Axis to become (4,-5)

• Example 2: (1, -3) reflects over X-Axis to become (1, 3)

• Example 3: (-2,-4) reflects over X-Axis to become (-2, 4)

• Example 4: (5, 0) reflects over X-Axis to become (5,0)

Reflecting Over the Y-Axis

• Change sign of the X Coordinate, keep the Y Coordinate the same

• Example 1: (2, 7) reflects over the Y-axis to become (-2,7)

• Example 2: (-3, -5) reflects over the Y-axis to become (3, -5)

• Example 3: (-2, 1) reflects over the Y-axis to become (2, 1)

• Example 4: (0,4) reflects over the Y-axis to become (0,4)
