Subject and Predicate

The WHO or WHAT the sentence is about.

The subject is usually a NOUN (person, place, thing), PROPER NOUN (Paris, James, Brazil), or a PROUNOUN (she , it, this).

A subject can be SIMPLE or COMPLETE

This is simply the noun that is performing the action in the sentence.

All the words that tell the WHO or the WHAT that is performing the action in the sentence.

The action part of the sentence that tells what the subject does or is. 

Always includes a verb (the action word)

A predicate can be SIMPLE or COMPLETE
