Reflexive verbs

• are made up of Reflexive pronouns + verb

• verb conjugation of all regular verbs remain unchanged

• Reflexive pronoun always comes before verb

• Reflexive pronoun never leaves the verb

• it means: action done on oneself

• eg. se laver : to wash oneself. Je me lave (I wash myself)
  

• laver means to wash but when we add reflexive pronoun to this verb it becomes a reflexive verb. Je lave la voiture (I wash the car)

Il//Elle - SE
Nous - NOUS
Vous - VOUS
Ils/Elles - SE

Reflexive verbs

• se lever - to get up                    se promener - to take a walk

• se réveiller - to wake up           s'intéresser a - to be interested in

• se brosser - to brush                s'arrêter - to stop oneself

• s'habiller - to dress up              se reposer - to rest/relax

• se dépêcher - to hurry up        se laver - to wash oneself

• s'amuser - to enjoy oneself     se coucher - to sleep

• s'appeler - to call oneself         se raser - to shave

S'habiller (Present tense affirmative) - to dress oneself up.

Relexive verbs :Imperative

• To make  imperative we use the conjugation of : TU, NOUS, VOUS form without subject pronouns.

• Reflexive verbs alsp take : TU,NOUS,VOUS form, without the subject pronoun BUT the reflexive pronoun does not leave the verb.

• In Imperative Affirmative : Reflexive Pronoun comes AFTER the verb with "-" in between.

• eg. s'habiller - imperative affirmative : Habille - toi, Habillons - nous, Habillez - vous.

• In Imperative Negative : Reflexive Pronoun comes before the verb as in Present tense.

• eg. s'habiller - imperative negative : Ne t'habille pas, Ne nous habillons pas, Ne vous habillez pas.

Reflexive verbs : Futur Proche

• Futur proche is made : Aller (present tense) + Infinitive

• In imperative also : Aller (present tense) + Reflexive Pronouns + infinitive

• The reflexive pronouns always corresponds tothe subject pronoun.  eg. se coucher : Je vais me coucher
  

• To make negative : Ne/n' before Aller, Pas after Aller, Reflexive pronoun + Infinitive. eg se coucher : Je ne vais pas me coucher.
  

• To make interrogative : Aller conjugation "-" Subject pronoun, Reflexive pronoun + Infinitive + "?". eg . se coucher : Vais - je me coucher?
