Flashcard on Light and Color

Rods in the retina help us see light and dark.

Visible light lets us see colors and the world.

White light is made of all colors mixed together.

The primary color of light that is not in painting is cyan.

When light hits an object, it bounces back or gets absorbed.

The three primary colors of light are red, green, and blue.

Reflection is when light bounces off an object, while absorption is when light is taken in by an object.

A prism is used to separate white light into its component colors.

The speed of light in a vacuum is approximately 299,792 kilometers per second.

Cones in the retina help us see colors.
