Types of Slopes

Slope is a measure of the steepness or incline of a line, typically represented as the ratio of the vertical change to the horizontal change between two points on the line.

Negative.

If the coefficient of x in the equation is negative, the slope is negative.

Positive.

A slope of zero indicates that the line is horizontal.

Undefined.

The slope is the coefficient of x, which is 2/3.

Negative, as the coefficient of x is -5.

An undefined slope occurs in vertical lines where the change in x is zero, leading to division by zero.
