AVID 11 Tutorial Roles & Expectations

AVID __________ are actively involved in their own education and grow academically and personally through the support of AVID

AVID __________ become thoroughly grounded in AVID WICOR strategies

AVID _________ make regular observations of tutorials in order to assess needs and plan remediation based on the continuous improvement process

AVID _________ assist AVID tutors and students in developing personal pride in, and commitment to, AVID

AVID ________ take an active part in developing the academic and personal strength of AVID students

AVID __________ provides academic support for students in rigorous courses

Students take notes in their academic classes

Students complete the Tutorial Request Form, including two higher-level questions from their academic class

As students enter the room, the teacher/tutor checks and/or collects the Tutorial Request Forms.

Students are divided into tutorial groups of 7 or fewer.
