M3.Roles and Responsibilities

All are concerns of Public Health, EXCEPT:

Interprofessional collaboration begins with mutual respect, clear communication, and a focus service as the center of care.

It requires a specialized knowledge that is learned through intensive and long academic preparation.

It is standardized and takes place in an institution where higher learning is being taught.

It is a professional discipline that is specific and serves as the basis for the practice of the profession.

There is a sense of calling to the discipline, a sense of mission and responsibility to the public.

It means that it is the only members of the profession, themselves, are the one who will decide what will be the required educationally and legally to become and remain as a practitioner of that profession.

It acts as the framework of decision-making and is an example of standard or practice.
