Citation looks like this: (Author 5). 

Has the period AFTER the parenthesis, not before

Properly uses ... or '", if needed

Thoroughly explains how the evidence proves the thesis

Answers any questions your reader might have

Make sense to someone unfamiliar with the story/concept

Wraps up the paragraph

Does not introduce NEW information

Wraps up your paragraph's argument

Avoids introducing new information

Mentions the Title and Author again

All sentences are capitalized!

Sentences use periods and commas when appropriate.

Essay does not have questions/question marks, unless they are in a quote!

Sounds fancy and professional, and makes sense when read aloud!

Numbers under 10 are written out, such as seven!

Does NOT use contractions (could've), abbreviations (POV), or slang (dad)!

Does NOT use 1st or 2nd person pronouns!
