4th Grade Math Review

Mr. Axolotl and Pretty Boy are planning a surprise party for my cousin Danny’s birthday. For the cake, they need 2 pounds of flour. How many ounces of flour do they need?

2. They need 2,000 grams of sugar. How many kilograms of sugar do they need?

3. They’re going to the store to get ingredients. They need four pints of milk. How many quarts of milk to they need?

4. They buy a cake pan that is 13 inches long and 9 inches wide. What is the perimeter of the  pan? 

5. They have $37 dollars to spend. The grocery total with tax is $28.43. How much do they have left to buy presents?

6. They want to buy pool toys, but need to make sure they can fit them in the scooter basket on the way home. The basket is 1 foot long and 1 foot wide. Will an 11 inch wide box fit in the basket? 

7. Pretty Boy and Mr. Axolotl have to park the scooter inside the shed to hide the presents. The shed is 50 inches long. The scooter is 3 feet long and the basket is 1 foot long. Will they fit in the shed? 

8. The cake recipe calls for 26 ounces of orange juice. They have 3 cups of orange juice. How much more will they need? 

9. They have 117 pieces of pizza at the party. If there are 9 guests, how many pieces of pizza does each guest get?
