Evaporation:

When water heats and turns into a gas.

Condensation:

When water cools and becomes clouds.

Precipitation:

When the water forms rain and falls from clouds.

Run-off:

Extra water not soaked into the ground. Becomes surface water.

Transpiration:

When water is evaporated from plants which give off vapour.

Liquid - Water in the ocean, rivers lakes.

Gas - Water vapour from evaporation, steam from geysers or volcanos.

Solid - Ice from snow, hail, icebergs.

Renewable energy is energy which is able to naturally be made new again. Meaning we can reuse it in a way which is not harmful to the environment.

A country that is 'water poor' has restricted access to safe, clean, usable freshwater. An example of a 'water poor' country is Australia, as it has a desert in the centre.

Australia's main use of water is agriculture. This might be because Australia does not have much industry and its population is fairly low, meaning it doesn't use a lot of water for 'domestic'.

First Nation's Australians use water ways for cultural practices such as hunting and gathering. As well, a lot of art and dreaming stories feature water sources.
