The patient is coming to you after having ankle stiffness for the last 6-months following a lateral ankle sprain. They get a dull ache which lasts 3-hours following long periods of standing/activity, sometimes it feels like a dull-throb.

This patient is coming to you with acute hip-pain. They've had a number of injuries to their R hip over the years but never a pain like this. They are a keen runner and have run multiple marathons but now struggle to get past 5km due to a 7/10 pain in their hip.

This is your patients first appointment with you, after completing a thorough subjective and objective assessment you have come to the hypothesis that the patient has plantar fasciitis and particularly have pain and stiffness in their tarsometatarsal joints when walking. Their pain is a 4/10 but they also have a constant dull ache in their feet which they would rate a 2.5/10.

Your patient is coming to you with knee stiffness into extension following an ACL reconstruction 12-months ago. It doesn’t cause them any pain but they have not been able to improve their quad size for some time and feels it is affecting their performance as an elite hurdler. They also feel some stiffness on the lateral side of their knee where the scar is from the operation.
