Wilfred Owen was born March 18, 1893
Owen spent much of his early life gaining an appreciation for reading and language and enlisted in the British military in 1915
Owen wrote Dulce et Decorum after a horrific night of marching under heavy artillery fire through wet, freezing conditions in Jan. 1917
Wilfred Owen died in battle in Nov. 1918, one week before the armistice, at age 25.
