Why do we need it?

Before the internet (was fast)

Unless you listened to radio.

We would have to buy the music physically...

...from a physical shop...

...physically store the CD's, tapes or records somewhere at home....

...physically carry them with you if you wanted to listen to them when out and about!

​What are the advantages of this?

Surprisingly...there are advantages to this.

• You own the music - you don't have to buy it again.

• You just need the music and something to play it on.

• You control how it is looked after.

​What are the disadvantages?

But the drawbacks are:

• You can only listen to what you own / borrow from a friend

• You have to store all the music somewhere (need physical space)

• If you don't have the music with you, you can't listen to it easily

• If something happens to your music (house fire etc). You will lose everything you own.

Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”)

e.g Spotify, Apple Music, etc....

- Access to millions of songs and audio content.

- Access to all content anywhere at any time

- No need to store anything

- Content you might like will be suggested for you.

- Music is backed up along with your preferences

So now we can stream music, videos, games and save our stuff to the cloud. What are the advantages of this?
