Message 1:

Hi, Sara! I wanted to check in and find out how your research paper is going. It is due next Tuesday. Do you feel comfortable with your progress, or would you like some help?

Message 2:

Hi, Sara! I have so many things to do today. I need to finish my work and then go to the grocery store, and at some point I need to run to the gas station to get some gas. I hope your research paper is going okay. It always seems like there is never enough time to get everything done. That paper is due on Tuesday, but I am not sure there is going to be enough time to finish everything. I could use some help on mine. What about you?

It helps you decide how much information to include.

It allows you to ignore the receiver's needs.

It guarantees your message will be understood.

I would like to apply for the school newspaper editor job. I worked on the school newspaper for the past three years. Last year I was assistant editor. ​

I believe my past experience will help me do a good job with the newspaper. ​
