What is a map? It is a drawing that represents the earth or part on the earth on a flat surface.
The key Elements of a map include:
- Key/Legend- Show what signs and symbols represents in map
- Frame- The border that is drawn round the map.
- Title- Gives the name of the map
- Scale- gives the relationship of distance on the map and ground.
- Compass- shows the direction of places on a map.

- We use the key element of a Map to read and interpret Maps.
