What was Paul praying for?

• The first step of witnessing: PRAY

• Paul is not trying to kick the doors down.

• We don't sit back and do nothing, but we SHIFT FOCUS from FORCING THINGS to RESPONDING to God's working.

• Manufactured witnessing vs Spirit-led witnessing

• We watch and pray for open doors

Paul wants GOD to open the doors

• Phillip was told by the Spirit of God to approach

• The Eunuch was reading Isaiah

• God gave him a WIDE OPEN door to share Christ

Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch

• Synagogues, markets, Mars Hill

• Venues where people are open for dialogue

• Summoned before kings

Paul's Ministry

• Was praying on the rooftop.

• Saw a vision and which told him to go tell Cornelius about Christ

• Cornelius's whole household is saved!

• “...they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.”

• Remember where Paul is?

• His first prayer request is to pray for open doors for the Gospel.

• Not for his own deliverance

Priorities: Mine or God's?

• Why would Paul ask for boldness?

• Some doors are scary when they open.

• God doesn't only open the door, but gives us the ability

• Sound clear and confident
