Gustar and Encantar

gustar: like(s) encantar: love(s)

These verbs are NOT used with subject pronouns (yo, tú, etc.)

Use "me", "te", and "le" instead.

Examples:
Me gusta el desayuno. I like breakfast.
¿Te encanta la leche? Do you like milk?
(A ella) Le gusta la sopa. She likes soup.

Use gustan and encantan when talking about plural nouns.

¿Te encantan los huevos?
Me gustan mucho las fresas.

When you use gusta(n) and encanta(n) to talk about a noun, you MUST include el, la, los, or las.

Me encanta el jugo de naranja pero no me gusta la leche.

When talking about MULTIPLE singular nouns, use gustan and encantan. These should be treated at plural nouns.

When talking about MULTIPLE verbs, use gusta and encanta.
Me gustan el café y el té.
Te gusta correr y practicar deportes.

Use gusta and encanta when followed by a VERB and plural noun.
A mi profesora le encanta leer libros.

The clarifier is optional because you can identify the Subject by the Indirect Object Pronoun.
