Southeast Asian Countries

We will be focusing on 11 countries in Southeast Asia:

Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Brunei is a tiny country surrounded by Malaysia on the island of Borneo.

Cambodia is bordered by Thailand to the west, Laos to the North, and Vietnam to the west.

East Timor is a tiny country surrounded by Indonesia and just north of Australia.

Indonesia consists of thousands of islands. It's the largest country in SEA by size and population.

Laos is the only landlocked country in SEA. It doesn't border any sea or ocean.

Malaysia has 2 parts: one part is on the mainland and the other part is the northern part of Borneo.

Myanmar is the largest country by size in mainland SEA. It's located west of Thailand and borders the Andaman sea.

Philippines consists of thousands of islands. It's between the South China Sea (west) and the Philippine sea (east).

Singapore is a tiny city-state located just south of Malaysia. Singapore separated from Malaysia in 1965.

Thailand surrounds the Gulf of Thailand and borders the Andaman Sea in the southwest.
