Introduction to Quadratic Transformation

To translate, right subtract from "x" inside parenthesis. i.e. A translation 3 units to the right is represented by (x-3)

To translate left, add to "x" inside parenthesis. i.e. A translation 5 units to the left is represented by (x+5)

To translate up, add to the entire function "f(x)" i.e. A translation 4 units up is represented by f(x)+4

To translate down, subtract from the entire function "f(x)" i.e. A translation 5 units down is represented by f(x)-5
