One of the best ways to bring your narrative to life is to add dialogue.
Dialogue is a conversation between two or more people.

How Dialogue Helps a Narrative
Effective dialogue always serves one of two purposes. It develops your characters or enhances your story.
Dialogue shows the reader what the characters feel or want. It provides details about relationships or personalities.
It reveals information about the plot or setting. It builds tension or increases the conflict.

3 Simple Rules: Dialogue in a Narrative
Each change of speaker equals a new paragraph.
The quotation marks surround the speaker’s exact words and punctuation.
The spoken words are capitalized and punctuated normally.

Short phrases that identify the speakers in written dialogue and give the reader information about the characters' feelings.

How do I use taglines?
Taglines may be placed before, after, or between quotations.
