• If the nucleus is a brain, then the DNA is the knowledge we store in our brain

• This knowledge allows the cell to act

• It also allows the cell to grow, repair, and develop

• DNA is normally stringy before cell division

• We call DNA in this form: CHROMATIN

How does DNA look during cell division?

• If a cell is to divide it needs to be organized

• We will learn about DNA's form called CHROMOSOMES
